art

I'd like to describe the picture "The Flowering Orchards" by Vincent Van Gogh (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY). The Flowering Orchards is a series of paintings executed by Vincent Van Gogh in Arles, in southern France, in the spring of 1888. Van Gogh arrived in Arles in February 1888 amid a snowstorm, within two weeks the weather changed and the fruit trees were in blossom. Appreciating the symbolism of rebirth, Van Gogh worked with optimism and zeal on about fourteen paintings of flowering trees in the early spring. He also made paintings of flowering trees in Saint-Remy in 1889. Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. He enjoyed them aesthetically and found joy in painting flowering trees.
I like this work of art and a lot of other paintings by Van Gogh, because he painted nature of Europe, and I very like european nature. I think, we have common perception of european nature. This painting and the other paintings from this series are very colorful and realistic. This picture is an oil-painting.  The picture is painted in soft and delicate colours. Van Gogh managed to combine form and colour into harmonious unity. I think that this picture is lyrical and poetic in tone and atmosphere. It makes people think about spring, carelessness and renovation of the soul. There are a lot of green colours: grass green, leaf green, lime. Green symbolizes tranquility and refreshing. I very like this painting and a lot of others paintings by V. Van Gogh.

James Cameron task

1) James Cameron was a keen of since fiction, he had a lot of friends. I don't think, he was popular boy at school, because popular boys like rather parties and clubs, but not since fiction. Maybe I would like to have a friend like James C. if I liked the same things as he. Nevertheless, I think, he is an interesting person.
2) Sine fiction began to develop in 1960s, and it had a big influence on James C. As for me, I think, the time when I live influence me pretty much.
3) Maybe Cameron was interested in this, because drawing is a great possibility to express your feelings and imagination, and diving is a hobby for curious people, who like to discover something. As for me, I'm absoulutely indifferent to diving, but I liked to draw when I was younger. Now my hobbies are foreign languages (English, German and Spanish) and music.
4) I haven't seen neither the Abyss nor Terminator, because I don't like to watch movies at all. There are CG and ILM in these films.
5) To my mind, he likes both things. He liked these two things since his childhood. As for me, I like to imagine more.
6) The first thing is to respect the team you deal with, the second - to do what you want, without any limits. I totally agree with James Cameron.

The pope, and the current pope, Benedict XVI, who was elected to the office in 2005.

What technique does Nelson Dellis use for memorization?
When he's writing the numbers down, all he's doing is walking back through that place, picturing who was there and then translating that back to the numbers that those pictures represent.

What might be the advantages of relying on the memorization technique seen in the program versus other ways of finding information (e.g. Internet searches)?

Would you want to learn the memorization technique featured in the report?
 No, I don't.

Why or why not?
I don't think I have imagination to associate numbers or words with people. It seems very strange to me.

Do you have any unique methods of memorizing information? Explain.
I just learn some difficult information, which I can't understand, by heart.
